Industry 4.0 demands

Opportunities for everyone in Industry 4.0

Employees Switzerland focuses on using the full potential of skilled workers, creating jobs, continuously developing skills and empowering employees - in order to be fit for Industry 4.0.

Our demands
  • Focus on job creation, not job destruction.
  • As many people as possible should have a job - this requires continuous and tailored training. With access for everybody.
  • Industry 4.0 must be supported by the government, politicians and employers' and employees' associations using appropriate means: Good basic conditions, guard rails, educational measures, information campaigns and coordination tasks.
  • Where necessary, new regulation of the labor market to protect employees and their health, rights and working conditions in Industry 4.0 - to a similar extent as today.
  • The development towards Industry 4.0 must strengthen and not weaken the industrial sector.
  • The domestic workforce potential must be better utilized. Especially the potential of older employees and women. The promotion of young talent must become a central element.
  • Switzerland must have a level playing field with the EU for the development of Industry 4.0. Politicians must ensure that this is the case.
  • The data of employees, consumers and companies must be comprehensively protected.
  • Special attention must be paid to small and medium-sized businesses in the restructuring of the labor market and, if necessary, appropriate measures must be taken to maintain a strong middle class.
