New forms of work
The only constant is change (Heraclitus)
New forms of work are to be welcomed, but they must preserve the health and personal integrity as well as the social security of the employed in the same way as the "old" forms of work.
Flexibility and additional sovereignty are the positive features of the new forms of work. The negative are insecure working conditions, bogus self-employment and a lack of social security. The companies benefit primarily from low fixed costs, but in the long run they put their image at risk and will not find the skilled workers they need to be successful in the market.
Employees Switzerland supports flexible forms of work and advocates a fair transformation for all parties:
-
Guarantee of fair working conditions and social security
-
No passing on of the entrepreneurial risk to the "employees"
-
Ensuring compatibility between the spheres of work and private life
-
Positive effect on the Swiss workplace
Employees Switzerland are committed to the Work Smart Charter. They support their member organizations, employee representatives and companies in the transformation and encourage them to sign the charter as well.
