Should you quit rather than keep pushing yourself?
The white paper 'Potenzial 50plus: Why Women Over 50 Are Key to the Future of the Labour Market' is based on a representative survey of more than 1,200 people conducted by the institute gfs-zürich on behalf of swissstaffing.
The figures speak for themselves: 70% of women over 50 show above-average professional commitment, and 71% have no intention of changing jobs. With the baby boomer retirement wave gathering pace and the shortage of skilled workers continuing to grow, this group is attracting increasing attention — with a potential of up to 136,000 additional workers who are currently outside the workforce.
Flexible working models are seen as a key lever: for women over 50, flexible hours and part-time arrangements are particularly important factors in staying in — or returning to — employment.
The study was presented at swissstaffing's Flexwork event on 17 June at the Casino Bern, attended by representatives from politics and business. For further information, visit: White Paper – Potenzial 50plus: Why Women Over 50 Are Key to the Future of the Labour Market – swissstaffing
