These are our new board members

Welcome Luca Büchi, Melanie Hasler and Stefan Müller-Altermatt!

Luca Büchi (*1982) represents AV Uster Technologies, where he works as a release train engineer. With a master's degree in materials science from ETH Zurich, he brings technical expertise and leadership experience to the committee. He says of himself: «I am a team player with a passion for my tasks. In diverse teams, empathy and experience help me build bridges and achieve joint success.» His personality and make him a valuable addition to the Executive Board.

Luca Büchi lives with his wife and two daughters in Uster and, whenever time allows, he enjoys keeping fit.

Melanie Hasler (*1987) works as a Quality Manager at Belimed AG, where she is also very involved in employee representation. On 1 August 2025, she will join Tecan Switzerland AG as Quality Systems Manager. On 1 August 2025, she will join Tecan Switzerland AG as Quality Systems Manager. She combines her professional experience with in-depth knowledge from the CAS for Employee Representatives initiated by Angestellte Schweiz, which she successfully completed. With her practical perspective and understanding of employees' concerns, Melanie Hasler is a valuable asset to the Executive Board. We are delighted to have her committed, dynamic personality on the Executive Board – with a clear view of the reality of the working world and a feel for the different cultures and perspectives that shape our members.

Melanie Hasler has both Swiss and Mexican roots and lives in Zurich. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors – skiing, jogging or hiking, often accompanied by her son.

Stefan Müller-Altermatt (* 1976) is a member of the National Council (The Centre, Canton of Solothurn) and brings not only political experience but also direct access to parliamentary processes – an advantage that opens up valuable new perspectives for the association. Thanks to his professional and political career, he also has in-depth knowledge of sustainability – an issue that is becoming increasingly important for the association.He says of himself: «With my professional and political work, I want to help ensure that we all get more out of life thanks to an intact natural environment, a vibrant culture, family-friendly structures and a people-friendly working world.»

Stefan Müller-Altermatt, who holds a doctorate in biology, lives with his wife and six children in Herbetswil (SO) and enjoys playing the French horn in his spare time.

This is our Executive Board

As of 6 June 2025, the Executive Board of Angestellte Schweiz consists of Alexander Bélaz (President), Emilie Etesi (Vice-President), Luca Büchi, Melanie Hasler, Stefan Müller-Altermatt, Daniel Siegrist and Martin Wey.

At the 2025 Delegates' Meeting, Robert Hediger, Bruce Nyfeler and Sara Zanardi resigned from the Executive Board for professional and personal reasons.
